I’m Kevin Carney, co-host of the Curious Pundits Podcast, where I explore history, economics, technology, politics, culture, and the unexpected connections between them.
Curious Pundits grew out of a simple habit: asking questions, following the evidence, and trying to understand how the world actually works. The podcast is built around conversations with people who bring knowledge, experience, and perspective to topics that deserve more than a quick headline or a shallow take.
My role on the show is part interviewer, part researcher, and part curious observer. I’m especially interested in the systems behind everyday life: money, markets, media, technology, institutions, incentives, and the historical forces that shape the present. I like conversations that start with one question and end somewhere surprising.
Outside the podcast, I work in digital marketing and SEO. I’m the founder of Organic Growth, a link building and digital PR community focused on helping small brands earn visibility through better content, stronger relationships, and more relevant opportunities. That background gives me a practical interest in how ideas spread, how audiences form, and how trust is built online.
I don’t see Curious Pundits as a show about having all the answers. It’s a show about asking better questions. Some episodes are rooted in history. Others explore emerging technology, economics, public policy, media, energy, or social change. The common thread is curiosity: What happened? Why did it happen? Who benefits? What are we missing? And what might come next?
I co-host the podcast with Emanuel Petrescu, and together we aim to create thoughtful, accessible conversations for listeners who enjoy learning across disciplines. The show’s tagline is “Bits of Everything,” and that reflects the spirit of the project: wide-ranging, open-minded, and grounded in genuine interest.
Curious Pundits is for people who like ideas, context, disagreement, and discovery. It’s for listeners who are not satisfied with simple explanations and who enjoy hearing thoughtful people work through complex subjects.
