Curious Pundits wants everyone to be able to listen to, watch, and read our work, including people who use assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not had the site formally audited, so we do not claim full conformance. We fix problems as we find them or as you report them.
What we do now
- Every image on the site has a text description (alt text).
- Pages are built with standard HTML headings, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
- Links, buttons, and menus can be reached with a keyboard, and the item in focus is clearly outlined.
- Animation is reduced for visitors who turn on “reduce motion” in their device settings.
- Episodes are available on YouTube, which provides captions, and on audio platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
- Each episode page includes written show notes, timestamps, and a full transcript.
Known limitations
- Many links to other websites open in a new tab.
- YouTube captions are generated automatically and may contain errors.
- Some linked third-party sites and documents (for example PDFs) are outside our control and may not be fully accessible.
